Off-plan properties are purchased directly from a developer before construction is completed. They often come with flexible payment plans and the potential for capital appreciation before handover, making them a popular choice among investors.
Most off-plan properties are paid in stages throughout construction. Buyers typically pay a booking deposit followed by scheduled instalments. Some developers also offer post-handover payment plans, allowing part of the purchase price to be paid after completion.
All property transactions are registered through the Dubai Land Department (DLD). Once the Sales Purchase Agreement is signed, the registration process is completed and the title deed is issued. Buyers are required to pay a one-time 4% DLD registration fee.
